Abstract
The increasing of soybean production through increase of cropping intensity on dryland is important to be done. However, the evaluation of drought resistant soybean varieties should be carried out. In Adition, the technology of using growth retardant is needed in increasing the plant resistace to drought. The objectives of this research were: (1) to find out the drought resistant of soybean varietas.(2) to know the kapabiliti of retardant paclobutrazol to increasing the plant resistance to drought The results of this research showed that willis variety tended to be more resistant to drought than American variety. The usage of paclobutazol on willis variety in creased the number of branches production and increase the plant resistance to drought. Willis variety was more responsive to paclobutazol than American variety
