Abstract

ABSTRAK Hasil skrining fitokimia dari tumbuhan Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms yang tumbuh di Sulawesi Utara, memiliki kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang sangat menarik, meliputi limonoid, triterpenoid damaran, steroid dan fenolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari senyawa aktif sebagai kandidat obat antikanker dari tumbuhan Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms yang tumbuh di Sulawesi Utara. Serbuk kering kulit batang Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms diekstraksi berturut-turut dengan n-hexan, etil asetat dan metanol pada suhu kamar. Ekstrak yang diperoleh dipekatkan pada tekanan rendah dan selanjutnya dievaluasi aktivitas sitotoksiknya terhadap sel murin leukemia P-388. Hasil evaluasi sitotoksik terhadap sel murin leukemia P-388, menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-hexan dan etil esetat memiliki nilai IC50 16,9 dan 19,9 μg/mL, menunjukkan aktivitas yang aktif, sedangkan ekstrak metanol dari kulit batang Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms tidak memberikan aktivitas sitotoksiknya. Kata Kunci: fitokimia, Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms, aktivitas sitotoksik, sel murin leukemia P-388 ABSTRACT The results of phytochemical screening of Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms that grow in North Sulawesi, contain very interesting secondary metabolite compounds, including limonoid, triterpenoid damaran, steroids and phenolic. This study aims to find active compounds as candidates for anticancer drugs from the plant Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms that grow in North Sulawesi. Chisocheton sp. (C.DC.) Harms dry stem bark powder were extracted successively with n-hexan, ethyl acetate and methanol at room temperature. The extract obtained was concentrated at low pressure and then the cytotoxic activity was evaluated against murin lekemia P-388 cells. Results of cytotoxic evaluation of murine leukemia P-388 cells showed that the n-hexan and ethyl-esetate extracts had IC50 values of 16.9 and 19.9 μg / mL, this indicate active activity, while methanol extract from Chisocheton sp.
