Abstract
Abstrak — Surat keterangan catatan kepolisian adalah catatan dari pihak kepolisian tentang tindakan kriminal dari seseorang, juga merupakan salah satu persyaratan dan sesuatu hal yang wajib yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk kepentingan melamar pekerjaan. Surat keterangan catatan kepolisian yang juga bisa digunakan untuk melengkapi persyaratan melanjutkan sekolah atau perguruan tinggi, serta sebagai persyaratan untuk pindah tempat tinggal penduduk. Di beberapa daerah, warga yang hendak pindah domisili ke daerah lain diharuskan untuk menyertakan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian untuk membuat surat pindah penduduk. Untuk mendapatkan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian terdapat berkas-berkas yang harus dipersiapkan sehingga terdapat beberapa permasalahan salah satunya masih ada masyarakat yang terkesan sulit terhadap langkah-langkah pengurusannya walaupun telah tersedia panduan pengurusan. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka dibutuhkan media yang tepat dan cepat dalam menyampaikan informasi dalam pengurusan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian. Media tersebut adalah aplikasi interaktif proses pengurusan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian. Tujuan dari aplikasi ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat tentang tata cara pembuatan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian dengan media yang lebih menarik. Juga untuk mempermudah masyarakat dalam membuat surat keterangan catatan kepolisian. Aplikasi ini dibuat menggunakan metode penelitian MDLC atau Multimedia Development Life Cycle. Hasil dari uji aplikasi kepada pengguna menunjukan bahwa, aplikasi ini dapat menyediakan informasi yang lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh pengguna serta dapat membantuk baik masyarakat maupun instansi terkait dalam proses pengurusan surat keterangan catatan kepolisian. Abstract — A Police record certificate is a record from the police about a person's criminal actions, is also one of the requirements and something that must be used by the public for the purpose of applying for jobs. Police record certificate which can also be used to complete the requirements to continue school or college, as well as a requirement to change residence. In some areas, residents who want to move their domicile to other areas are required to include a police record to make a resident's letter of residence. To obtain a police record certificate, there are files that must be prepared so that there are several things that are considered, one of which is still difficult to do with the management steps even though management guidelines are available. From these problems, appropriate and fast media are needed in conveying information in the management of police certificates. The media is an interactive application for the process of managing police records. The purpose of this application is to provide information to the public about the procedures for making police records using more interesting media. Also to make it easier for the public to make police records. This application was created using the MDLC or Multimedia Development Life Cycle research method. The results of the application test to users show that this application can provide information that is more interesting and easily accessible to users and can help both the community and related agencies in the process of managing police records.
