Abstract

Abstract — Currently, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many activities that we have scheduled or have prepared carefully have to be postponed. Over time, the government began to implement new living habits or better known as the "New Normal". In the New Normal era cycling became one of the most popular sports, but many did not pay attention to their physical condition when doing cycling activities so that they experienced unwanted things. With the research "Implementation of the Internet of Things in Monitoring Adult Cycling Activities" can answer these problems by providing an application for monitoring heart rate and location. The application will send notifications and sounds to the cyclist when the heart rate exceeds the specified limit. For the application of this research using research and development methods in which tests have been carried out such as microcontroller testing, pulse sensor testing, GPS module testing, blynk platform testing, so the conclusion in this study the application created can be used to monitor the location and heart rate when on the move. Keywords — ESP8266; Global Positioning System (GPS); Pulse Sensor; Heartrate Monitoring; Internet of Things (IoT) Abstrak — Saat ini ditengah pandemi COVID-19 banyak kegiatan yang telah kita jadwalkan maupun telah kita siapkan secara matang harus tertunda. Seiring berjalannya waktu, pemerintah mulai menerapkan kebiasaan hidup yang baru atau lebih dikenal dengan “New Normal”. Pada era New normal bersepeda menjadi salah satu olahraga yang diminati, Namum banyak yang tidak memperhatikan kondisi fisik mereka ketika melakukan aktivitas bersepeda sehingga mengalami hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Dengan penelitian “Implementasi Internet of Things Pada Monitoring Aktivitas Bersepeda Orang Dewasa” dapat menjawab permasalahan tersebut dengan menyediakan sebuah aplikasi monitoring detak jantung dan lokasi. Aplikasi akan mengirim notifikasi dan bunyi kepada pesepeda apabila detak jantung melewati batas yang ditentukan. Untuk penerapan penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dimana dalamnya sudah dilakukan pengujianpengujian seperti pengujian mikrokontroler, pengujian pulse sensor, pengujian modul GPS, pengujian platform blynk, sehingga kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini aplikasi yang dibuat dapat digunakan untuk memonitor lokasi dan detak jantung ketika beraktivitas.
