Abstract

Pengaruh triptofon terlmdap pefiumbulnn dan kandungatT kcLtaratltitt pada kttLtur kalus Catharanthus roselis telah diteliti- Pertuntbuhan kalus C. roseus-],arlg, tliberitriptofan 100, 125 dan225 mg/Lrendahpada hari ke-21, trLmurtyrutg diberi penantbahan 150, 175 datt 200 ng/L pertunbuhannya lebih baikctari kontrol. Kcutclulgan katarantirt kontrol ataLt tatTpa triptofan adalah 123,22 pg/g bk. Kandungan katarantitt pada keencun kalus yang diberi perlakuan triptofan 100' 125, 150, 175,200,225 mg/L adalah 485,00, 588,32,875,10, 905,26,781,10 dan 950,i4 pg/g bk. pertakuail,ang optimal untuk pefiumbuhan dan produksi katarantin dengan pencntbahan prekursor triptofan aiatah 175 mg/L a"",rgol peningkatan kandungan katarantin sebesar I 13,90 7o . Research on the growtlt and catharctnthine content of Catharanthus roseus callus w,lticlt were treatel with tryptophan had been done. Wet and dry weight o/Catharanthus roseus collus clecreased wlten treated with 100, 125 and 2-25 nry/L tr1|ptopltan' but callus treated with 150, 175 cutd 200 ntg/L tryptophan grew better. Catharanthine contents ofihe kontrol callus was 423,22 1tg/g dw. The treatrnettt ccLlli containi +'ss,oo,-5gg,32, g75,10, g05,26, 7g4,10 artd 950,54 1tg/g dw of catlmrantltine respectively. The optinml tryptophan treattilett for callus growth ancl cathara,tltirrc production was 175 mg/L tryptopltcut with a I 13,90 To. increase of catharanthine content.
