Abstract
Abstract — The purpose of this research is to increase the availability of publication media in the form of a blog website for lecturers and students. The research method used in this study is the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) stage with the Waterfall model, in order to know the function of an Educational CMS application for Higher Education. This system consists of two parts, namely the management dashboard and the front page for public access. The manager dashboard serves to add or change the content of the application, while the Front Page serves to display the added or changed content from the manager dashboard. In this study, the authors develop a system using a web-based programming language, namely PHP and MYSQL database. With this application, Lecturers and Students can share the needs of publications to spread knowledge in the academic field. Keywords — Content Management System, CMS, Blog, College, Website Abstrak —Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan tersedianya media publikasi dalam bentuk website blog bagi dosen dan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan tahapan SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) dengan model Waterfall, agar dapat mengetahui fungsi dari sebuah aplikasi CMS Edukasi untuk Perguruan Tinggi. Sistem ini terdiri dari dua bagian yaitu Dashboard pengelola dan Front Page untuk diakses publik. Dashboard pengelola berfungsi untuk menambah atau mengubah isi konten dari aplikasi, sedangkan Front Page berfungsi untuk menampilkan konten yang ditambah atau diubah dari Dashboard pengelola. Dalam penelitian ini penulis melakukan sebuah pengembangan sistem menggunakan bahasa pemrograman berbasis web yaitu PHP dan database MYSQL. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, Dosen dan Mahasiswa dapat berbagi keperluan publikasi untuk menyebarkan ilmu dalam bidang akademik. Kata kunci — Blog, Perguruan tinggi, Sistem manajemen konten, Website
