Abstract

Abstract —Generators play an important role in continuously supplying electricity to consumers while maintaining reliability. To ensure a dependable electrical distribution, an appropriate safety system is essential for safeguarding the electrical system against both internal and external fault. An example of such a safety measure is the utilization of a differential relay in a generator. This relay serves to protect the generator from winding faults, like phase-to-phase short circuits or phase-to-ground issues, which can potentially harm other components within the power plant.This study aims to determine the single-phase ground short-circuit current, three-phase short-circuit current, and set the parameters for the generator's differential relay. An ideal current transformer (CT) ratio of 2000:1 A is recommended for both the neutral and line sides with a permissible error of 1%. The three-phase short-circuit fault current is calculated to be 15,798.4027 A, with a differential current of 2.9763 A. Meanwhile, the single-phase ground short-circuit fault current measures 11,379.0489 A, with a differential current of 0.8483 A. The settings obtained confirm the accuracy of the generator's differential relay, ensuring its continued effectiveness. Key words— Differential Relay; Generator; Short Circuit Current, Winding Fault Abstrak — Generator memegang peranan penting dalam menyalurkan tenaga listrik ke konsumen, sehingga pembangkit harus mampu menghasilkan tenaga listrik secara kontinyu dan kondisi yang handal. Untuk menjamin keandalan dan kualitas distribusi energi listrik yang baik, sistem kelistrikan harus memiliki sistem keamanan yang sesuai untuk melindungi dari gangguan internal dan eksternal. Contoh pengaman yang digunakan adalah penggunaan rele diferensial pada generator. Rele diferensial ini digunakan untuk melindungi generator dari kerusakan belitan seperti hubungan singkat fasa ke fasa atau fasa ke tanah. Arus hubung singkat yang besar dapat merusak bagian lain dari pembangkit listrik. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung arus hubung singkat satu fasa ke tanah, arus hubung singkat tiga fasa, serta menghitung penyetelan rele differensial pada generator. Besar rasio CT ideal yang digunakan baik disisi titik netral maupun disisi line adalah sebesar 2000:1 A dengan error mismatch sebesar 1%. Arus gangguan hubung singkat 3 fasa didapat nilai sebesar
