Abstract

Abstract - Strawberry is a sub-tropical fruit that has high economic value and has benefits against diseases such as cancer and heart disease. So it is necessary to increase production through the development of cultivation evenly throughout the region. However, strawberry plants are not possible to be cultivated in lowland areas because the lowland climatic conditions are not suitable as a condition for optimum growth of strawberry plants, because of the high temperature and low humidity. Thus the purpose of this research is a prototype tool for the cultivation of strawberry plants is made which later the tool can help the cultivation of strawberry plants in the lowlands. The prototype uses DC fan and DC water pump 12V to maintain soil moisture and temperature. The monitoring of soil moisture and temperature uses DHT 11 sensor and capacitive soil sensor as well as a blynk platform for IoT monitoring using smartphone. In this test, there are several test results and the goals that have been achieved, the DC fan can maintain the temperature of the room where the cultivation is ranging from 25°C to 28°C. DC water pump can keep soil moisture in ideal conditions for strawberry cultivation. Abstrak - Tanaman strawberry merupakan buah daerah sub-tropika yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan memiliki manfaat untuk melawan penyakit seperti kanker, dan penyakit jantung. Sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan produksi melalui pengembangan budidaya secara merata di seluruh daerah. Namun tanaman strawberry tidak mungkin untuk dibudidayakan pada daerah dataran rendah karena kondisi iklim dataran rendah kurang sesuai karena suhunya yang tinggi dan kelembaban udara yang rendah. Dalam penelitian ini dibuat suatu alat prototipe untuk budidaya tanaman strawberry sehingga alat tersebut dapat membantu budidaya tanaman strawberry di dataran rendah. Alat ini menggunakan kipas DC 12V dan Pompa air DC 12V untuk menjaga suhu dan kelembapan tanah ketika dibudidayakan pada dataran rendah. Bagian monitoring suhu dan kelembapan tanah menggunakan sensor DHT22 dan capacitive soil sensor serta platform blynk untuk monitoring secara IoT menggunakan smartphone. Ada beberapa hasil pengujian dan tujuan yang telah dicapai alat prototipe ini, yaitu Kipas DC dapat menjaga suhu ruangan tempat budidaya berkisar antara 25°C sampai 28°C dan pompa air DC yang dapat menjaga kelembapan tanah agar tetap berada pada kondisi yang ideal untuk budidaya tanaman strawberry.
