Abstract

Purpose of this study was to determine the influence of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on intentions of consumers to use pirated products as well as the effect of moderating variables moral considerations in relation attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control with the intention of consumers use pirated products. This study examined the effect of moderating variables moral judgment on the intention to use pirated products by using the survey method. The sample used was a graduate student at the Facultsy of Economics and Business, University of Lampung 174 final year students. Antecedent variables Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is the attitude towards the product, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control in the study. The results showed only a hypothesis 1, 3 and 5 have the support, while hypothesis 2, 4 and 6 hypothesis is not supported. Subjective norms such as parents, family, friends and others have no effect on the individual intention to use pirated products. While attitudes towards pirated products negatively affect the intention to use pirated products. The more positive individual attitudes towards pirated products, consumers tend not to use pirated products. Similarly, an individual's behavior in a positive control significantly affect the individual intention to use pirated products. Moral considerations moderate the influence of subjective norms on individual intention to use pirated products. The influence of moral considerations will strengthen relations with the norms of the subjective intention of the use of pirated products. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap, norma subjektif dan perceived behavioral control terhadap niat konsumen untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan serta pengaruh variabel moderasi pertimbangan moral pada hubungan sikap, norma subjektif dan perceived behavioral control dengan niat konsumen menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh moderasi variabel pertimbangan moral pada niat untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan dengan menggunakan metode survey. Sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Lampung sebanyak 174 mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Variabel anteseden Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) yaitu sikap terhadap produk, norma subjektif, dan kontrol perilaku yang dipersepsikan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya hipotesis 1, 3 dan 5 mendapat dukungan, sedangkan hipotesis 2, 4 dan hipotesis 6 tidak didukung. Norma-norma subjektif seperti orang tua,keluarga, teman dan lainnya tidak berpengaruh pada niat individu untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Sedangkan sikap terhadap produk bajakan mempengaruhi secara negatif pada niat untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Semakin positif sikap individu terhadap produk bajakan, maka konsumen berkecenderungan untuk tidak menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Begitu pula kontrol perilaku individu secara positif signifikan mempengaruhi niat individu untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Pertimbangan moral memoderasi pengaruh norma subjektif terhadap niat individu untuk menggunakan produk-produk bajakan. Pengaruh pertimbangan moral akan menguatkan hubungan norma-norma subjektif dengan niat penggunaan produk-produk bajakan.
