Abstract

The objectives of this study was to know whether F. oxysporum have an endophytic phase. The isolation of endophytic Fusarium from from ‘healthy stem’ above and below diseased stem tissue and healthy stem were conducted on PPA and then subcultured on CLA for identification F. oxysporum. This fungi was reproduced on CLA and then counted concentration and inoculated. The experimental design was CRD with 10 replication and then the data analyzed by the analysis of variance. The response of vanilla plant stem tissues which were inoculated with some endophytic F. oxysporum isolates showed that only isolates from ‘healthy’ stem above and below diseased stem tissue can infect vanilla plant. On the contrary, from healthy stem can not infect. Keywords : Minahasa, Vanilla planifolia, Fusarium oxysporum, and endophytic
