Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the growth and production model of hybrid maize in each treatments of nitrogen application and tassel trimming. This research was carried out in field experiment in Tountimomor Village of Kakas District in Minahasa Regency. The result of this research showed that this model could stimulate the growth and production of maize with the total biomass of 8000 kg/ha. Optimum leaf nitrogen of 1.6 % at 49 day after cultivate. The highest leaf biomass from field measurement was reached in nitrogen fertilizing of 92 kg/ha. The highest tassel biomass from field measurement was obtained in treatment trimming which was 4 gr/ha.
