Abstract

ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu tentang dampak penggunaan kantong plastik yang dapat mencemari lingkungan, berbahaya bagi manusia dan makhluk hidup lainnya, serta dapat memicu perubahan iklim. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini yaitu pemberian edukasi kepada Kelompok Ibu-ibu dengan materi penyuluhan meliputi: permasalahan sampah plastik di Indonesia, pengertian dan komposisi plastik, dampak penggunaan kantong plastik secara berlebihan, dampaknya bagi lingkungan yang dapat mencemari lingkungan, serta bagaimana upaya pencegahan dan penanggulangannya, meminimalkan pemakaian kantong plastik, menjadi motivator di lingkungan masyarakat. Capaian kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu paham tentang dampak penggunaan kantong plastik secara berlebihan, serta mengedukasi anggota keluarga tentang dampak penggunaan kantong plastik secara berlebihan. Disimpulkan bahwa melalui kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini maka pengetahuan dan keterampilan dari peserta dapat meningkat. Keywords: edukasi, dampak kantong plastik, desa Koka Minahasa ABSTRACT The aims of this Community Service Program were to improve the knowledge and skills of the community about the impact of using plastic bags that can pollute the environment, are harmful to humans and other living things, and can trigger climate change. The methods used were providing education, lecturing and discussion that held in one day. The material were The problems of plastic waste in Indonesia, Composition of plastics, The impact of using of plastic bags, The impact on the environment that can pollute the environment, as well as how to prevent and overcome them. The achievement of this activity is the participants understanding the impact of excessive use of plastic bags, and then to educate the family about the impact of excessive use of plastic bag.
