Pengaruh dari Penempatan Arrester Sebelum dan Sesudah Fuse Cut Out Terhadap Efektivitas Proteksi
Transformator 20 kV pada Tiang Distribusi.

Abstract
Abstract —The placement of the protection system on the
distribution transformer, precisely at the portal substation, has two
placements, namely the placement of the arrester before the fused cut
out and the placement of the arrester after the fused cut out. Both of
these placements affect the workings of the arrester. Placement of
arresters after fused cut out is a new construction of distribution poles
which is being applied to all portal type substations by PLN. The
installation of the arrester after the fused cut out can be said to be more
effective and can work optimally, because in the event of a lightning
strike, the surge wave strikes towards the fused cut out (FCO) where
the first one to disconnect is the FCO, so there is a chopin on the
arrester. where the lightning surge voltage that enters the transformer
is very small and also the transformer safety is very effective. In a 20
kV distribution network, the arrester that is directly hit by lightning
has a grounding value of 1.99 ohms after making ground repairs by
adding grounding stakes. The arresters used have characteristics
where the rated voltage is 24kV, with a nominal discharge current of 5
kA, the TID value for the transformer is 12kV that has been set, and
the arrester protection distance is obtained from the protected
equipment, namely distribution transformers of 2.754 meters where
the arresters must be placed close to each other. with protected
equipment.

Abstrak — Penempatan dari sistem proteksi pada transformator
distribusi tepatnya di gardu portal terdapat dua penempatan, yaitu
penempatan arrester sebelum fused cut out dan penempatan arrester
setelah fused cut out. Dikatakan kedua peletakan dari pada cut out
fuse dan arrester pada transformator distribusi tidak ada pengarah
berarti karna masing masing peralatan proteksi mempunyai fungsi
berbeda. Sehingga di titik tertentu pada arah lindung dari arrester
yang diperoleh adalah 2,754 m sehingga penempatan arrester di
transformator distribusi yang menjadi objek penilitian masih
efektif. Pada jaringan distribusi 20 kV, dengan arrester yang
terkena sambaran petir secara langsung memiliki nilai pentanahan
sebesar 1,99 ohm setelah melakukan perbaikan pentanahan dengan
cara penambahan patok grounding. Pada arrester yang digunakan
memiliki karakteristik dimana tegangan pengenal sebesar 24kV,
dengan arus pelepasan nominal 5 kA, dengan nilai TID pada
transformator sebesar 12kV yang telah ditetapkan, serta
didapatkan jarak lindung arrester terhadap peralatan yang
dilindungi yaitu transformator distribusi sebesar 2,754 meter
dimana arrester harus ditempatkan dekat dengan peralatan yang
dilindungi.
